She is a Japanese artist based in London.
She has studied both Psychology and Fine Art in the United States and achieved MA from Central Saint Martins in London.
In recent years she has exhibited her drawings and installations in locations such as agnès b., Brent Museum, Erco Lightings ltd showroom and other international galleries.
For her installation, Kikuta carefully chooses an object and investigates its shape, structure and density to create a diagram to work on. She breaks down the object even further to draw the form of intriguing and delicate designs. Kikuta believes her installations are like "a child playing with sand", that the same idea or object could appear utterly different depending on the time and location. It can also be installed by someone else's hand.
